Primal Challenge day 10

weight: 134.6 (-1, net -1.8)
exercise: walked 1.5 miles, did 10 minutes of bodyweight circuit (squats, lunges, assisted pullups, pushups, planks) that totally wrecked my legs

breakfast:
rolled omelet
leftover Korean banchan
raw tomato

lunch:
smoked mackeral
salad - mixed lettuces, celery, fennel, balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil
almonds and walnuts

snack: 1 oz raw cheddar and 1/4 of a granny smith apple, same as yesterday

dinner:
Greek yogurt marinated chicken
spicy eggplant
raw tomato

I got a cookbook from the library called The Simpler the Better by Leslie Revsin and it is *great*. Everything in it has few ingredients and a short cooking time, but it's all real good tasting food (unlike a lot of other "5 ingredient or less" cookbooks). The chicken I made tonight was from the book and it was really yummy - just needed a little extra sauce and it would have been perfect.

dessert: hot chocolate made with coconut milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, stevia

My stomach still isn't happy about something. It hasn't been happy since I first had Korean food on Saturday. Maybe I need to do KISS for a few days to sort it out. I hate having such touchy digestion.

Good luck working out your tummy issues. :) Where do you get the raw cheese? I've seen it at the health food store, but it's a bit pricey, and probably isn't all that fresh due to the turnover rate. Looks like you're sticking to this primal challenge! Congrats.

aww I'm so sorry to hear about your tummy. Too much kimchi would upset my tummy too. Hmm.. I wonder what caused your upset tummy. Maybe just simply introducing a new food/spicy food into your diet?? Maybe could've been the restaurant (not fresh foods?)? Or when yall grilled the meat? Maybe a lil undercooked? hmm prolly not cuz u seem like an expert cook. I think your plan to KISS is a great idea!!! Keep us posted on how ur feeling!!

Hope you feel better soon!! Thanks for the ice cream recipe. It finally rained here yesterday!! I hate the texas heat and humidity. UGH. But at least you are gettin a good sweat!!! It'll get rid of all that sodium from the Korean food!

I've always wanted to cook eggplant, but am not sure how... if you have time (sorry for asking for all your recipes), but do you mind sharing the spicy eggplant recipe?? Thanks!!!!

Have you ever tried eliminating dairy to see if that helps your digestion?

Love your blog. Just followed it today after checking out your take on the avocado/banana pudding. I have carob powder and am going to try that soon instead of the cacao powder! I sprinkled cacao nibs and some coarse salt on mine for crunch- yum. I love salt on my sweet stuff.
